Wichita FSC History

The WFSC was organized and started skating as a club in 1932. The Club obtained official membership in U.S. Figure Skating in December 1941 and has maintained this affiliation ever since. In 1992 the Club was recognized for 50 years membership in the U.S. Figure Skating. The club currently has about 150 members on the membership rolls.

Now the WFSC calls Wichita Ice Center home. The Wichita Ice Center facility is over 92,000 square feet, which houses 2 sheets of ice (NHL and Olympic sized rinks), restaurant and pro shop . The Olympic rink can seat over 800 in rink and has a Mezzanine level in the restaurant for viewing.

Wichita Ice Center is located in downtown Wichita at 505 W. Maple, across from Lawrence-Dumont Stadium
